Last Resort Bar 5812 S Ridgewood Ave, Port Orange, FL 32127

We always ride by this little bar on the way to New Smyrna so we thought we would go back and check it out. It calls itself "The World Famous Last Resort Bar". Interesting little place with bras and bikini underwear hanging from the ceiling. The bar itself inside is quite tiny, like a lot of outdoor bars in Florida.

If you have ever seen the movie "Monster" with Charlene Theroren playing Aileen Wuornos, then you know about this bar already. Monster is about a women that killed at least 7 truckers after propositioning them for sex. She used to hang at the bar and was ultimately arrested there. The filming of the movie took place there also. You can get a t-shirt there that says: "The World Famous Last Resort Bar, Home of Ice Cold Beer & Killer Women.´" I havent seen the movie yet, but I did put it in my Netflix queue.

Needless to say I didn’t use the facilities

Oh yeah.. I probaly should mention it seems they don’t like rice at the Last Resort Bar. Here is their rice junkyard/burnpile.

Bike Week was a blast as usual. We only had rainy weather for one day. That day we decided to go to Cape Canaveral to go to the Kennedy Space Center. I saw my first alligator down there. Actually I saw a few of them and one was pretty big!
